Warning Signs

Is your pressure tank failing?

A bad tank kills pumps. If you notice any of these, call before it gets expensive.

Pump kicks on every time you open a faucet

Water pressure surges or fluctuates

Sputtering or air in the lines

Tank feels heavy / sounds full when tapped

Visible rust, corrosion, or leaking at fittings

Tank is 10+ years old

Our Process

From first call to fresh water

A simple, transparent process — no high-pressure sales, no hidden fees.

01

Diagnostic Visit

We test your tank's air charge, check for waterlogging, inspect the pressure switch, and confirm your pump cycle rate before recommending anything.

02

Honest Recommendation

If your tank can be saved with a recharge, we'll tell you. If replacement is the right call, you get a fixed quote with the exact tank size and model.

03

Professional Install

We drain the system, remove the old tank, install the new tank tee, switch, gauge, and tank — all to code, with clean plumbing.

04

Pre-Charge & Test

We set the air pre-charge 2 PSI below pump cut-in, restore pressure, check for leaks, and verify a healthy 1-minute+ pump cycle.

Pressure Tank Questions

  • How long does a pressure tank last?

A quality bladder pressure tank typically lasts 10–15 years. Cheaper tanks or improperly pre-charged tanks can fail in as little as 2–3 years. Sizing and pre-charge pressure are the two biggest factors in tank lifespan.

  • What size pressure tank do I need?

It depends on your pump's flow rate (GPM) and the desired drawdown. A typical home with a 10 GPM pump should use at least an 86-gallon tank for a healthy 1+ minute pump run cycle. We size every tank on-site so your pump isn't short-cycling itself to death.

  • How do I know my pressure tank is bad?

The most common sign is rapid pump cycling — your pump kicks on for just a few seconds every time water runs. Other signs: sputtering faucets, fluctuating pressure, a heavy tank that sounds full when tapped, or visible rust and leaks.

  • Can you just recharge my tank instead of replacing it?

If the bladder is still intact, yes — a simple air recharge can restore function. If the bladder has ruptured (waterlogged tank), replacement is the only fix. We always diagnose first and recommend the cheaper option when it's the right call.

  • How long does a tank replacement take?

A standard pressure tank replacement takes 2–4 hours. If we're also updating the tank tee, switch, and gauge (recommended on older systems), plan for a half day.

  • Do you offer emergency tank service?

Yes. We provide 24-hour emergency service across the Jackson and Grass Lake area. A failed tank can burn out a pump fast, so don't wait — call and we'll get to you same day whenever possible.
